About
Papuan Thought is a community-driven social writing platform where Papuans can share essays, reflections, stories, criticism, cultural memory, and ideas about everyday life.
This platform exists to create a digital space where Papuan perspectives can be written, preserved, discussed, and discovered through long-form writing — as an alternative to fast-paced mainstream social media that prioritizes short content, speed, and virality.
Initiated by Papua Open Source
This project is initiated by Papua Open Source, a tech community dedicated to contributing to Papua through technology and open source.
We believe that preserving local stories, humor, and lived experiences is an essential part of maintaining Papuan cultural heritage. The Papuan Thought is our contribution toward building open, sustainable digital infrastructure for Papuan voices.
Vision
To build an open and sustainable digital space where Papuan voices can document their thoughts, experiences, knowledge, and imagination.
Open Source
This project is open source. We believe transparency, collaboration, and shared ownership of knowledge infrastructure are fundamental to the long-term health of any community platform.
"Write thoughtfully. Preserve memory. Share perspective."
